I bought this paint for my garage floor. I have sealed it correctly as everyone suggests. I did 2 coats and waited 4 days before walking on it. It’s peeling and flakey and concrete showing through in places already. Don’t waste your money on this product.

Wish I'd read the reviews before purchase

For a brand I know and trust, this was an extremely disappointing purchase. Followed the instructions to the letter and allowed 5 days drying before putting my cars back in the garage. As soon as I moved the car, the paint flaked off and I'll now be forever touching up the affected areas. This is doubly disappointing as my previous B&Q purchase (interlocking rubber floor mats for garage use) were similarly useless and couldn't withstand the weight or movement of a car. I'm now going to do what I should have done in the first place and buy expensive garage floor tiles or use epoxy resin.

biggest regret - it hoovered up!

biggest regret was not really believing the poor reviews so once it was ronseal I used it nevertheless. Once finished it look great...until I walked on it several days later and left footprints as I lifted the paint. I thought I was seeing things! Then I drilled the walls to attach shelves so I hoovered the dust from the floor. Incredibly I hoovered up the paint as well Do.Not.Buy.

Simply bad!

I purchased this 3 x 5 litres of Ronseal garage paint (slate) and applied 3 coats successfully leaving 24 hours drying period in between. I have some left to go over worn areas in 3-5 years time. Preparation is key - initial wire brushing, acid washing and allowing to dry thoroughly is essential to remove spillages (oil etc) and dust so the paint can adhere. I also am allowing 6 day drying time for paint to seal (beyond the 72 hour recommended on the tin). Wash with dish washing liquid to maintain and regularly dust with soft brush/vacuum cleaner. The Ronseal Customer Services phone number is a valuable source of information aside from internet search. Good luck and enjoy transforming your garage from bare concrete to a presentable space.
