Product information
A washable, slate garage floor paint in a satin finish. Covers up to 12 m² per litre and dries in 72 hours.
- Guarantee - Statutory
- Suitable for use on Concrete surfaces
- Surface Preparation - Open all your doors and windows to ensure the best ventilation. Move everything out of your garage, you’ll need to get into every nook and cranny. Clean up any oil and grease stains (oven cleaner and some vigorous scrubbing may work, otherwise call in a professional or use Thompson’s Oil and Drive Cleaner). How to prepare bare garage floors for painting - Newly laid concrete needs to be left alone to set for a month before you can paint it. Use a wire brush to clean the floor and remove dust and dirt. Concrete floors can react to the paint and crack or blister so seal the floor first with a stabilising solution. Or you can dilute the paint with 10% water. How to prepare previously painted garage floors - Clean the floor with a wire brush to dislodge dust and dirt. Wipe it down with white spirit.
- Instructions for Use - Use a large brush, roller or pad to apply the paint. Give the paint a thorough stir. Start at the far end of the garage and paint towards the door. Work in small sections and remember to not paint yourself into a corner! For the best coverage, you’ll need to apply two or three coats. Leave four to six hours between coats for the best effect. The floor will be hardest after 72 hours. That’s when you can start moving your car and things back into the garage. To clean your equipment, simply wash it in warm soapy water.

Quality product, helpful staff.
I bought these products in order to stop water entering my garage and required advice from a member of staff. The person to whom I spoke was very helpful in assisting me to select the appropriate items. The work is progressing and I am delighted by the outcome to date.

Initially seems good
Seems like good stuff but I’ve noticed allready that it’s scratching off quite easy. Time will tell

Ronseal Diamond Hard Garage Floor Paint
Recently purchased and painted onto a clean but previously painted (with the same product) garage floor. 3 coats and left for several days to harden but on the first time my car was garaged the covering pealed off under the tyres. Prior to going in the garage, the car had stood on the driveway overnight so the tyres were cold. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this product. Nothing like as durable as the original which was applied several years ago.

Just the job
Bought this for a new garage. Great colour apart from it is a little patchy in places as you have to constantly keep staring the pot. Apart from that happy with the result. I did however go over the top by applying a sealer to the garage floor before applying this.

Easy on
Covered well. One tin goes a long way. Good colour match.

Review of my original feedback
All appeared well with this paint and I left a positive review. However, 3 months later I am quite disappointed in the durability. Having prepared the floor as instructed it looked great but if I drop anything on it the paint chips off and having parked my car on it, 3 months after painting, the paint has lifted where the tyres sit. As it’s quite an expensive product I would no longer recommend it.
