Product information
A washable, steel blue garage floor paint in a satin finish. Covers up to 12 m² per litre and dries in 72 hours.
- Guarantee - Statutory
- Suitable for use on Concrete surfaces
- Surface Preparation - Open all your doors and windows to ensure the best ventilation. Move everything out of your garage, you’ll need to get into every nook and cranny. Clean up any oil and grease stains (oven cleaner and some vigorous scrubbing may work, otherwise call in a professional or use Thompson’s Oil and Drive Cleaner). How to prepare bare garage floors for painting - Newly laid concrete needs to be left alone to set for a month before you can paint it. Use a wire brush to clean the floor and remove dust and dirt. Concrete floors can react to the paint and crack or blister so seal the floor first with a stabilising solution. Or you can dilute the paint with 10% water. How to prepare previously painted garage floors - Clean the floor with a wire brush to dislodge dust and dirt. Wipe it down with white spirit.
- Instructions for Use - Use a large brush, roller or pad to apply the paint. Give the paint a thorough stir. Start at the far end of the garage and paint towards the door. Work in small sections and remember to not paint yourself into a corner! For the best coverage, you’ll need to apply two or three coats. Leave four to six hours between coats for the best effect. The floor will be hardest after 72 hours. That’s when you can start moving your car and things back into the garage. To clean your equipment, simply wash it in warm soapy water.

Great product, make sure you stir it well!
I was dreading painting the garage floor, however using this paint it was dead easy. Make sure you stir the paint in the can before you use it - it needs a really good stir, when you first take the lid off it looks neon blue!

Great stuff!
As somebody has already said, it needs to be mixed thoroughly (for atleast 5minutes) both for colour and to cure and harden properly!

Avoid
Bought this a while ago. Within two weeks the paint came off. Now so much has come off that I need to repaint with another paint. I have no idea how this has made it through quality control.

Completely wrong colour
Check the colour in the tin. The colour on the tin was lovely but the paint in the tin was a very very bright royal blue. Unfortunately my husband had painted the floor while I was out so I couldn’t take it back.. It’s awful !!!!! So annoyed and such a waste of money!

Good product, but not kidding it needs mixing.
Purchased at Bournemouth who refused to mix it. But having read the reviews made the effort to mix really well. No kidding it took 10 minutes with a plaster paddle to mix properly. See the photo. Lid is the original colour, which the B&Q guy on the paint desk said was ‘fine’. The tin is the colour it needs to be.

Do not buy this paint
Absolute rubbish and waste of time. Pressure washed and cleaned floor prior to application, used brush to paint to ensure it was applied well and it flaked and came off just by walking on it when fully dried, didn't even try driving on it. The best possible application for this product is he inside of a wheelie bin. Absolute rubbish, I'm so disappointed as to how poor this product is and carrying the 'Ronseal' label. I would never consider using this product again, it's expensive, really poor quality, and generally creates more work in stripping and recoating with something suitable. Completely unsuitable and not fit for purpose, should not be sold in any way shape or form.

Dries very different!
Cover is great, as is finish but colour wet as compared to colour dry is WAY off. Much brighter colour and darker tone than expected. Also, quite expensive!

Not fit for purpose.
I bought this product on Ronseal's reputation of making quality products. Unfortunately I failed to read the product reviews prior to purchase otherwise I would not have wasted my money. I thoroughly prepared the new garage floor as directed and followed the instructions on the tin. After application the first coat looked fine but when I attempted to apply the second coat the following day the first coat simply rubbed off in my fingers. Twenty minutes with a brush removed the paint that had simply turned to dust. I returned the half empty tin of paint and the bag of dust to the B&Q store where I had purchased the paint. Although the staff said that they were not aware of any problems a full refund was made without quibble. Please stay well away from this product.

Buy it and put it straight in the bin
I bought 2 tins, prepared the floors as per instructions and spent all morning painting the floor. It takes a huge amount of stirring to mix it properly and even during applying it needed constant stirring. Dried well and looked good but the paint all flaked off and turned to dust !!! it’s expensive, doesn’t last and I’m so disappointed
