Product details
Product information
A washable, tile red garage floor paint in a satin finish. Covers up to 12 m² per litre and dries in 72 hours.
- Surface Preparation - Wire brush the floor & remove any dust, seal the floor with a stabilising solution if bare or if painted wipe it down with white spirit.
- Surface Preparation - Open all your doors and windows to ensure the best ventilation. Move everything out of your garage, you’ll need to get into every nook and cranny. Clean up any oil and grease stains (oven cleaner and some vigorous scrubbing may work, otherwise call in a professional or use Thompson’s Oil and Drive Cleaner). How to prepare bare garage floors for painting - Newly laid concrete needs to be left alone to set for a month before you can paint it. Use a wire brush to clean the floor and remove dust and dirt. Concrete floors can react to the paint and crack or blister so seal the floor first with a stabilising solution. Or you can dilute the paint with 10% water. How to prepare previously painted garage floors - Clean the floor with a wire brush to dislodge dust and dirt. Wipe it down with white spirit.
- Instructions for Use - Use a large brush, roller or pad to apply the paint. Give the paint a thorough stir. Start at the far end of the garage and paint towards the door. Work in small sections and remember to not paint yourself into a corner! For the best coverage, you’ll need to apply two or three coats. Leave four to six hours between coats for the best effect. The floor will be hardest after 72 hours. That’s when you can start moving your car and things back into the garage. To clean your equipment, simply wash it in warm soapy water.

Garage floor
I painted the floor, it looked great, and the 2nd coat after 3 days. It's worn off really easily, so where the door is its completely gone, I wanted it to be a bit more hard wearing, disappointed, as I bought 3 tins, and it's not cheap!

Wasted 3 days doing this. Garbage.
Put several coats in my garage floor, had to leave all my possessions outside while it ‘cured’ and even after 4 days of curing it just peels off as soon as you stand on it. At £50 a tin I’ve been completely had. More frustrating that I’ve done all the prep and spent ages putting it on properly and it’s still garbage. Waste of my money.

Do not buy ever
I wish I had read the reviews, this product is beyond bad, I bought it reading what it says on the tin, the brand is strong but the finish is so bad it’s unbelievable. It goes on well, it looks great but don’t walk on it , it’s for looks only. I tried a bit of sticky tape on it and it lifts straight off, working at my bench for half an hour left the floor back to before I started painting, followed all the instructions on drying times, preparation everything to a tee, didn’t make any difference, just so disappointed after all my hard work. Had to buy rubber matting to cover it as I can’t over paint with anything else as the base I have been left with is so poor.

Doesn't do what it says on the tin
Did the job over 2 weeks in a double garage - I went to great lengths on preparation, 3 meticulous coats of paint and didn't bring the car into the garage for a week after the paint was dry - and it still lifted and scratched so easily as soon as I brought the car i. And working in the garage - cutting timer at my workbench - the paint scratches just with a piece of softwood placed on it. It's pathetic and so frustrating i.e. what do I do about it. In the end I put a covering over the whole garage floor on top of the paint - I dare say when I lift the covering the paint will come with it! I wouldn't buy it again - would have been better to have never started. Diamond hard! Nonsense.

Does not do as it says
Bought last month, new concrete sealed per instructions and 3 coats of this paint added over course of a week. As soon as items moved paint scratched and came away. Don’t use garage for vehicles just storage. Certainly not diamond hard, a waste of money and significant time now having to buy tiles to cover floor.

Daylight robbery
I bought this product last month after 2 weeks its scared chipped and cannot even mop it with hot water and fairy liquid it’s the worst paint of any kind I have ever bought disgusted

Does what it says
2 coats cover all old paint marks. After 5 days moved machines back in no problem or scuffing. Important when it says mix thoroughly, at least 10 minutes, I used a mixing paddle attached to drill.

Paint lifts off concrete surface.
Treated concrete with sealant three times and applied three coats of paint. Left to dry for four days. No issues of moisture in concrete. Paint lifts with very little effort. Worst floor paint I have ever encountered. The good thing is, it is so bad I can remove it using a roll of duct tape and start again. Very expensive mistake.
