Product information
You can apply this opaque shed and fence treatment from the Ronseal Fence life range to all rough sawn and smooth planed sheds and fences, using a brush, to colour and provide protection. It takes 1 hour to dry and will cover up to 6 m² per litre on average.

- Surface Preparation - Fence Life Plus can be applied when the wood is damp, but not wet. So if it’s rained on the day of application, you need to wait for five hours before putting it on. The treatment can’t be applied in the rain. It needs to be a warm, dry day with temperatures above 10°C. Cold weather will stop it from drying. Clean the wood with a stiff brush to remove any dirt.
- Instructions for Use - Fence Life Plus can be applied with either a brush or sprayer. When brushing, check that you’re happy with the colour by applying it to a small hidden patch and leaving it to dry. If you are happy with the colour, get loads of Fence Life Plus on your brush. Apply a thick coat. Leave four hours for the first coat to dry. Check the fence to see if you need to apply another. When spraying, pour the Fence Life Plus into the tank. Pump up your sprayer or turn it on and start spraying. Use long, sweeping horizontal arm movements. Move along the full width of the fence panel, drop down and do the same again. Overlap each pass by 50% for the best coverage.

Disappointing Cocerage
Disappointed with this product. Had to apply 3 coats of paint to cover previous painted surface.

Fence paint.
Bought to treat an older fence. I think I may have to do 3 coats as it's soaking in quite a bit to get a solid lasting colour. This makes me think I should have bought a one coat product. Although they look a lot dearer, once you have bought 2 or 3 times the quantity to paint your fence several times, are they really more expensive? And the worst thing is the time taken doing the extra coats. I'm hoping that when I've finished the 3 coats, it will last for 5 years but unless you're reviewing after 5 years you can't really comment on this.

A good product with a good reputation.
After pressure washing and then anti mould treatment to the fence at the side of our driveway I used this product to finish off the trellis panels in charcoal grey. Two coats were applied and the result was very pleasing indeed. Application was quick and easy using a Ronseal applicator. Coverage was good and by way of a contrast I painted the discoloured concrete below the trellis with pale grey Snowcem masonry paint. Good outcome which I hope will be long lasting.
