Bad

I brought last year and when weathers bad likely rain and snow then happened decking come off definitely waste money for this.

Doesn’t last

I applied two coats of this in May 2020 and less than 6 months later it looked absolutely awful, flaking off everywhere. For the price I would expect it to last at least until Summer 2021. Ronseal implied it was probably my fault even though I followed the instructions to the letter. They offered me the price of a tin as a ‘good will’ gesture but what use is that when I had used around 6 tins for my decking!

Peels off within 6 months

Probably the worst £200 I’ve ever spent. Followed instructions to the letter. Lifted off within 6 months, deck now looks terrible now I need to try and remove it.

Peels off when cold

Looked amazing in Summer but less than 9 months later all peeling away. Of course Ronseal blamed me even though I paid professionals to apply it. Gave me vouchers to buy more but fear this will happen every year. Wish I’d never had it done, not worth the stress.

Lasted 6 months

Used in the summer, cleaned and prepped all of the decking and waited a few days in the sun to fully dry. It applied generally quite well needing two coats. Looked great for 3 months until it began to chip and flake off. It’s a nightmare to fully remove in places so you only have the option to continually apply or to rip up the decking.

Charcoal decking stain, 4 tins, 4 different colou

Several trips back & forth as product in 4 tins have been different shades despite being identical upon the outside. Manager very rude & abrupt.

Wears off quickly

I bought this product 6 months ago ...I applied two coats and expected it to last at least a year given its price. However it has worn off in very large areas. So it does not do what it says on the tin.ie last twice as long

Do not recommend

Awful product. This was applied as per instructions last summer and this is what I’m left with. It peeled almost immediately.

S4v235 - 1 / 5 - 08/05/2020

Terrible

I bought this product, three pots 3 different colours in each pot. I stirred each pot. Started off well found I had keep stirring as I go. Despite my best efforts by the time I was finished I had 3 different shades of grey on my decking

Impossible to get an even colour finish

The light grey and black pigments seperate in the tin. Even with extensive stirring after a few minutes the colour changes. As you start to paint it is near black and as you progress it get lighter as you approach the bottom of the tin. Basically this leads to a very patchy finish which looks awful. Avoid.
