Best product for decking
This is the only product I have used that doesn’t make the decking slippery in winter. It’s better than any anti-slip paint. This oil doesn’t just put a layer of colour on the wood, it feeds the wood, penetrating in to provide protection from rot. It dries quickly - which is fab if you have pets. Two coats in spring then top up in autumn if needed. The natural oak colour is gorgeous.

True natural oak finish
Bought this oil a few times for a number of different uses in the garden to tie elements together. On decking, timber fencing, wood store, bench and more, using soft wood or 'sanded down' cheap fence posts, the finish was excellent. Rich colour after 2 coats on soft wood.

Slick oil
Last year, I spent days scraping off the old decking oil finish and tried this Ultimate oil. What an improvement but . . . ouch . . . the downside is that it is so expensive.

Good quality product
I used it and it looks as good as expected, I'm sure it protects the decking as it says it does.

Does not do what it says on the tin
I am very disappointed with this product. The tin was suppose to complete the size of my deck and allow for 2 coats and it did even do one coat. I only put a small amount on the pad which i purchased to complete the job. I contacted Ronseal and they said it is only a guide for the size of the deck but they are having a joke. When i went into B and Q to complain as i needed to purchase another 2 tins the lady agreed that you should never take notice of the guidelines and always buy twice as much. The overall finish is not brilliant and i wish i had just bought B and Qs own brand. Dont waste your money on this product. Mine deck took 3 coats in the end and 4 tins to complete it.
