Good toaster
Bought this Russell Hobbs toaster as I had one before and it is good and hot, so is great for toasting bread or scones or whatever.

Russell Hobbs USED to be good.
Burns one side leaves other uncooked. Slots not deep enough for standard slice of bread ensuring it can not cook evenly. Cheap and tacky feel. Element doesn't heat evenly, Russell Hobbs equivalent toaster from 2011 was FAR BETTER. Will be returning it.

First one dangerous. Toasts unevenly and burns.
The first one I bought had had a piece of plastic jammed in the slot. Should surely never have left the factory like that. Should have given up at that point, but I got a replacement. It toasts unevenly. "50% Faster Toasting Technology" also means it burns faster. Toast goes from under done to over done in a blink. Seriously considering cutting my loses and binning it. Disappointed.

My new toaster
I received this toaster for Christmas and I would definitely recommend it. It toasts in half the normal time of my old toaster .

Burnt edges
Burns toast around the edges before the rest of the bread properly toasted. Such a shame as the quality, wide and long slots and lift & look features met my requirements

Cable too short to use
Bought today going back tomorrow less than 40 cms. of useable cable. The full cable length leaving the toaster body to the tip of the plug is 70 cms. Whoever accepted the ridiculous short cable which is clipped and wound around the bottom should be lookin for new employment. Not used it so rating have no idea
