Leaves a yellow finish over white

Not impressed with the top coat finish, leaves a yellow tinge over white. The base coat to this dose what it said on the tin, no problems there. Did my draws and put the top coat on and it turned my lovely white to a yellowish cream. Also the finish was quite shiny, not what I was looking for. I wasn’t too put out as the colour change, actually by chance fitted in with my bedroom. I still wasn’t happy with the shine, so I purchased a flat Matt varnish. This did the job, took away the shine and toned down the yellow tinge, to a tee. This was my first crackle paint experience and I can say it wasn’t easy and yes I watched the video. I must have washed the draw fronts off about six times before I got near to what I wanted. I didn’t want a tight crackle look. I was trying to achieve a abstract look. Some parts could have done with more paint but hey looks ok. This type of painting just needs practice. Didn’t help chosen draw fronts weren’t flat. I had paint running of the side’s it was becoming very frustrating. So in the end I let it run, looks ok to me.

Not great

The base coat works well but the top coat seems to leave brownish marks in places so I'm going to try a clear vanish spray this time.
