Very disappointed

Terrible, when used over rustoeum chalk paints the so-called weatherproofing lasted less than a week. It wrinkled in the rain and clearly allowed water to penetrate. Do not buy. Very disappointed

Excellant

I bought this product as I was making a shell frame and wanted a flat finish..... I really love this product and to be honest I would not buy another sealer except this one, it made the shells look I had just picked them from the beach... Just beautiful.

Great water based varnish lacquer!

Brought this to give some MDF shelves I'd painted with water based paint (Crown walls and ceilings matt) a more waterproof finish as they were going to be used for shoes. Went on easily and only needed two coats to protect them! It did darken the shelves a little as expected so bear that in mind if you're colour matching to walls etc! I recommend applying with a roller not brush as you will get brush marks! And make sure to use tape or a lint brush on your roller first otherwise there will be little bits of fluff in the lacquer! Only downfall is the tiny can size, but the small CNA covered three shelves ( both sides) with two coats with some to spare!

Tiny sample pot and doesn’t dry matt!!!

Needed the sealer for something that was painted black matt. This dried awful!!! I followed the instructions about storing it and using a brush, came out streaky on some areas and gloss effect, I now have to start all over again. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Do not buy

Bought this to protect a newly painted chest of drawers. Did not come out clear and put a white/blue tint over the drawers. Had to repaint which was very frustrating

Awful

I painted the top of my coffee table with Farrow and Ball paint and it looked fabulous. I used this clear sealer to protect it and the finish is ruined. It is no longer Matt and the finish looks patch. Very unhappy. I would not recommend. The pot is tiny too.

Rubbish on white chalk paint

If I could I would give this product no stars. I bought this earlier this week to give a protective coating to a wooden box that i'd painted white with chalk paint. It was easy to apply with a brush, but I'm glad I only tried it out on an area that won't be visible as when it dried it caused the paint to yellow and turn a dirty offwhite colour.

Absolutely rubbish

Brought two and looked fine brought another and dried looking dirty when I opened the new one it smelt stronger and has a grey tint to it and a dry black ridge round the edge of the tin on the inside once opened so ruined my work!! £150 cot which I thought I would do it now ruined!! Not happy

Great sealer

I bought this for my terracotta pots that I recently painted and it worked really well! Was really easy to use and gave a really nice result.

Will never use any of their products again

Left my white painted items with a yellow tinge to it, and stripped some of the paint, also i felt pretty light headed after using it as it had quite a strong petrol kind of smell, also when i had to move onto my second tin, there was a foreign brown object inside that changed to colour of the liquid to a light brown
