OK for small areas
We bought this as we struggled to find a hard-wearing satin finish in black for interior wood. In an average sized room, we went through 15 cans just to cover the skirting boards and 2 doors (one side of each). The finish is lovely and application is easy. However, it's not hard-wearing and one can doesn't go very far. Going with spray paint over a normal tin turned into an expensive decision but on the plus side, we have no brushstrokes and are very happy with the look of it.

Struggled to get an even sheen
Used as directed and really disappointed with the blotchy uneven glossy sheen. Sanded back and tried again with matt paint and a different technique. Paint finish is much better with many very very thin coats. Do not spray too close or wet out the surface because it ruins the sheen.

Rustoleum Painters Touch black satin
I bought this to repaint a metal outdoor table & chairs. It was easy to apply using short bursts, covered well & didn’t drip. The whole project took an hour to complete & used only one can of paint. Very pleased with the results.

Waste of money
Do not buy. Whatever you use it on you can just look at it- do not even touch. Slight touch removes the paint easily.

Absolutely useless
We bought 5 tins of this to re-spray an iron bed frame. After following the instructions we sanded down the bed frame and carefully sprayed the bed frame allowing for the required time between coats. After 3 coats the finish looked ok. However after waiting a week we took the bedframe inside only to find that a light scratch with a finger nail removed the black paint, revealing the original cream colour. Not only did we waste almost £50 on paint but also had to purchase a new bed frame.
