Product information
With a quick coat of Rust-Oleum chalky finish furniture spray paint, you can now achieve a flat matt finish with a classic, smooth touch. With the ease of application, it brings new life to tired and worn-out pieces of furniture. Finish with a layer of Rust-Oleum furniture finishing wax or Rust-Oleum furniture lacquer for protection
- For use on Furniture
- Suitable for use on Brick, plaster, stone & wood surfaces
- Surface Preparation - For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from loose paint, mould and mildew, wax or oil. If wax has been used clean the surface thoroughly with a suitable wax remover. We recommend that bare wood should be sanded before painting. Hard glossy surfaces should be abraded before painting. Cover surrounding areas to protect from spray mist.
- Instructions for Use - Shake the can vigorously for 1 minute after mixing ball begins to rattle and continue to shake regularly during use. Hold the can 30cm from surface and spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping with each stroke. For best results, while spraying keep the can in motion and at the same distance from the surface. To create a distressed look, apply two coats of contrasting colours. Allow to dry and then lightly abrade with a damp Scotch-Brite pad or a stainless steel scourer. Abrade with the grain of wood. Protect the distressed effect with Rust-Oleum furniture finishing wax or Rust-Oleum furniture lacquer.

It’s white and delicate
It’s basically white. Can’t see grey in it at all and the chalky finish makes it very delicate if you so much as touch it the paint comes off

Nice colour. Not durable
I like the colour and it does on matt and flat, but you only have to look at it for it to mark, and its impossible to clean once dirty. Only looked good for 24 hours.

Amazing color bad coverage
I love the color. The coverage isn't great. I used up 1 can on a small coffee table and still isn't perfect. The smell lasts for at least 3 days (its been 3 days and I can still smell it in the living room). Will try the "normal" paint next time.

Colour not as expected!
I bought this to spray a wicker chair mid grey. But turns out it’s a sort of dirty white colour & not much different to the original colour. Very disappointed

Even Coverage
This paint isn't as dark as the image shows, more an off white with a grey tinge which was perfect for what I wanted. Easy to use, and an even cover with 2 coats. - I do recommend using gloves when spraying though!

Terrible colour and finish!
I bought this Winter Grey chalky finish spray paint to transform a rattan chair. Firstly, the colour is an awful off white, too light to be called grey. I guess it is called Winter Grey, but it is just a dirty, dusty colour. But the main reason for the bad review is the finish once dry. It is like touching sandpaper and, even after 4 days, touching it leaves my fingers covered in chalk dust! I'm not sure that's supposed to happen. It's called Chalky Finish, but it shouldn't actually be like touching chalk! If I sat on the chair my clothes would be covered in dust. It sprays on well and the job is done in hours, but the finished result is not good. I'll now need to start again and try a satin or matt finish paint instead.
