Gave the kitchen cabinets a quick was with sugar soap to get rid on the oil/ polish... Trial and error when first applying, I personally felt that it was drying too quickly so decided to dilute the paint with water. Once I diluted the paint with tap water, it went on much easier, I’m not sure how much I added, probably just less than quarter of the tin in total but I kept adding small amounts and mixing it in (which was so easy to mix to an even consistency) judging it as I went along the way to make sure it wasn’t too runny. Finished off with the wax 5 hours later and was amazed by the results! 20 odd year old kitchen looked good as new! I did have to do a few touch ups after waxing as some of the paint came off but I put this down to me adding water and not totally drying out fully. I was terrified as once I touched the paint up as the freshly painted area was much lighter as I hadn’t waxed it yet, but once I waxed the area it was seamless! So impressed! I did this last month and was a bit wary at first with water splashes etc but it’s it still looks as good as it was when it’s first done. water splashes do dry out and haven’t left any marks! Love love love this paint, can’t wait to use it on my next project!!

I bought this paint to give a new lease of life to a very battered chest of draws I up cycled for our little boy's nursery. It worked like magic and dried very quickly. I used a roller, touched up with a paint brush and did two coats, worked like a dream. In the past, I've bought expensive furniture paints – but they weren't as good as this one. Highly recommended and great value.

A new lease of life!

Bought this to upcycle some pine and teak furniture. I am very pleased with the finished results. I painted one item with a sponge roller and one with a brush. I prefer the brush finish. It has a better sheen after waxing. The winter grey is a lovely light grey, not really anything like the colour online nor the 2 colours on the tin!

Poor finish

Wouldn't buy this again, once painted it has to have a laquer or wax applied so quite expensive. Poor overall finish, Just as easy to use an eggshell paint. Also colour range very limited.

Great

Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Started with chair legs, then picture frame, then a metal lamp-shade. Can't stop !
Now going to paint an old Habitat folding chair !
