Iris sapphire beauty is a classic Dutch variety, much favoured by florists and in show garden planting. The tall stems of beautiful blue flowers create impact planted together, or in the middle of borders, combining well with alliums and narcissi tresamble
- Planting location: Borders, containers and pots
- Soil moisture: Well drained
- Flowering period: May-June, Planting period: August-December
- Dig soil improver and bone meal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole Water well during dry spells. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally. Flowering results improve each year
