Big and beautiful
We'd just finished refurbishment of a bungalow, spent out a fortune and were ready to start on the garden. I wanted a big space without using a big chunk of our depleted savings. Having read a previous review I had serious doubts about buying this summerhouse, but I'm very glad that I did. All the panels are solid and straight, it came with all the fixings necessary and plenty of roof felt. The floor is heavy duty and comes in two pieces, these need to be screwed together with them upside down and then turned over. This is very challenging, so enlist family, friends or neighbours to help with this. Make sure it's laid absolutely level. Assembly is straightforward, just note that two of the four rear panels are slightly wider than the other two, this is to accommodate the overlap in the rear corner. The window panels fit easily, then comes the door panel; it will pay dividends to take your time to get this one absolutely square, because the opening of the doors depends on it. Last but not least comes the roof panels, these are the same thickness as the floor and they are HEAVY, three people will be the minimum, unless you have a couple of rugby players standing by. The panels fit well though, and there's just a couple of inches of rear panel to cut away to achieve a snug fit. Felting is easy enough, considering the size of the roof, and all the nails can be hammered in from a ladder placed around the front and sides (no clambering required)! One note about the roof - we built our summerhouse in the corner of our garden, and when viewed from the front the roof can't be seen, so there's no need to buy a tiled effect option unless you will be looking at it from behind or you have money to burn. Glazing takes a while as there are 28 panes of quality tempered glass, actually we received 27 panes, but a phone call to Shires soon rectified that. All in all I am very impressed with this building, it seems huge inside, and I think my new 'man shed' for less than a grand is my best bargain yet. I highly recommend this garden building...

Sorry I bought
Very poor quality timber. Shiplap shrinks every year. Doors buckled and warped, every year need adjusted. Window lintel too weak for weight of glass. Insufficient number of window beads supplied. All this, even after treating every year since purchased. Maybe it's just the Scottish weather.

10x10 Hampton Wooden Corner Summerhouse
The build went very well, good job I had an assistant though some of the roof panels were heavy. The painting before hand was probably the best thing we did, using a sprayer made it far easier. It now sist in an unused corner of the garden, which now makes that area useable. Overall the quality of the wood, the general design and construction are up there with the best of these. We are well pleased with the finished product.
