Brilliant solution for table lamps
I had been looking for something like this for weeks. A remote controller for our lamps that can be mounted on the wall next to the light switch by the door. Unlike most other remote controllers it actually looks good too. Instructions are a bit vague and I think it does lots of things I have not yet worked out but the main thing is I can switch three lamps on and off by the door. It makes the central light redundant.

Works well
The system overall works well, and this can be used to replace a wall switch, or mounted somewhere more interesting as a remote control (it isn't designed to just flop about on its own, but it does work) I bought the 3pack of dimmable lights, and the 3 pack of switched socket adaptors. I've dabbled with X10 previously, but it still took a little while to understand how to set everything up- (TIP: teach this remote to control all your dimmable lights and wall sockets, use the remotes that came with them to set everything the way you like, then hold down one of the "mood" buttons on this remote to program that setting in to that button as a preset.) TIP: Wait around a second between presses to make sure each command is understood. If you change too rapidly a few of the devices might miss the instruction. I'm planning to get some more controllable dimmer switches now, to do the adjoining rooms too.

well worth it
A well made product at a affordable price. and it won't let you down. you can use it as a normal mood remote controller or mount it on the wall needs no wires and the battery lasts for two years with normal everyday use.
