Best I was able to find.
It satisfactorily fastens onto an 18mm thick shelf with a strong spring clip. The flexible neck allows it to be pointed where required and has a reasonable long flex and conveniently positioned rocker switch which is easy for a young (4 yr) child to use. Beware that the bulb costs almost as much as the light!

Does the job quite nicely
Bought this to clip onto a shelf above my daughter's bed, and it does the job nicely. The only slight issue is that the shelf is quite thick and the clip only just opens wide enough to attach properly. The shelf is about 7cm thick.

Bulb
Funky light but the bulb needs to be max 7w which was not clear online I had to get another after buying wrong one
