Product information

This Pure brilliant white eggshell wood & metal paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply with a brush or roller and leave for 6 hours to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers up to 14 m² per litre on average.

Features and benefits

  • At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

I love this paint

Having been spraying cars for 26 years has taught me one thing paint binders /pigment / matting agents all need to be stirred thoroughly to get the results you want to achieve, having read the bad reviews I would put this down as the problems they have experienced, I thought this paint was superb, excellent flow didn’t dry to quick and was able to flow coat my window cills with great results. Did de-nib between coats. Matt paints also like air flow so I would recommend opening windows or doors whee possible.

Very Shiney!!!

This has got to be one of the worst branded named paints I have used and I've been decorating for over 40 years!. Supposed to be Eggshell finish but more like gloss and takes ages to dry. A very sticky paint. When it eventually dries I will try another brand of Eggshell paint and go over everything I've painted. Waste of precious time and money!!!

waste of money & time... yellowed after 2 month

I purchased this as I thought well know crown should have no problems... I have done my whole house in this and was on my third tub when I noticed the first room I did had started to yellow so I went in b&q and the lady on paint department was not suprised at all she said it’s due to being oil based and advised a Valspar water based one would be much better, I have used this on my last room and what a difference it’s bright white & with a chalky Matt effect which is what I thought eggshell was... I have emailed crown to complain to be told look on back of tin it says the eggshell needs sunlight or will yellow... I find this ridiculous as it’s an indoor paint & the majority of woodwork in most houses do not get sunlight. My advice is stay clear of this paint... waste of money & not to mention time!

Not Brilliant at all

I bought Crown Paint but I should have stuck with Dulux. This is not brilliant white as described on the tin and it’s really sticky! Dulux Diamond Eggshell is far more superior and goes on smoothly and dries quickly. Out with this product and I’m going back to what I know.

Way too glossy!

This paint cannot be called eggshell, it is gloss!

Crown Eggshell white

not too happy with this product, have gone back to normal emulsion and matt, eggshell was too bright and remained sticky even after two days drying, the matt dried out within a couple of hours and not sticky.

Crown Eggshell excellence

Crown eggshell interior paint was very easy to work with, brushed on easily and smooth, for a perfect finish. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be buying again in the very near future.

Glossy like Satin Paint, Not Eggshell

Used for a bathroom ceiling previously painted with Dulux Eggshell,l which I couldn't get in a small pack so I bought Crown. I applied with a mini roller. As per the title this paint is much too glossy & shows every imperfection which is the converse of what;'s required.
