This corded circular saw is ideal cutting laminate worktops, boards and sheet materials.

- 66mm maximum cutting depth at 90° and maximum cut at 45° mitre

Just the job
The usual excellence from Makita. The supplied blade is a little coarse for most jobs, but i initially bought this to cut sleepers, which the supplied blade is perfect. For most jobs though, consider buying an extra blade with more teeth.

Superb
Well constructed, solid piece of kit as you would expect from Makita, well balanced, low vibration, not too noisy with plenty of power to rip through panels. The supplied guide fence is a bit on the small side, and doesn't get very close to the blade, so for most jobs you will need to use a straight edge clamped to the workpiece. Good storage case with space for a spare blade. Bear in mind the blade supplied is only 12T so if you want a better finish get a finer toothed blade (I got a 40T blade)
