Didn't last long.
Bought a year ago. It was used for home DIY. Only lasted a few hours of use before the Motor bearings broke up. I looked into replacing the bearings and found that the type of bearing that was used are commonly used in Skateboards.

Bevel Setting Issue
Got my saw from the Stroud branch of B&Q last week 17/11/17. Not perfect but once you've got the bevel adjustment sorted you're off. Well made and a league ahead of the lower priced Ryobi! However... The one issue I have with the saw is the bevel setting at '0' isn't a right angle! If you loosen the thumb tightener and let it rest on the frame you're cutting at an angle way off 90°. So it is a little fiddly trying to get a perfect right angle.

Great machine...
Worked great straight out the box. Nix and powerful, cuts with ease.

disappointing
Have used this saw for a couple of years, and found it a pretty good all round saw, but motor has just burned out, and would have expected it to last longer.

jcb ciclar saw
good solid product does not feel flimsy. Use only a couple of times but has cut well with no problems. Only thing I find is it is a bit fiddly setting the depth of the blade and locking it in place, maybe because it is new. 4 star's because nothing is perfect and will last forever,

Made a good choice
After going through a number of reviews, I decided on the JCB circular saw. It's a well made, quality product (surprisingly good for the lowish price). It's easy to set for bevel cuts, but setting depth of cut I found a little awkward (due to the position of the clamping lever). In use, it's well balanced and easy to control and cuts very accurately. This saw is perfect for a DIYer like me and it definitely wasn't necessary to pay out for a more expensive make and model.
