Typically Italian!
Looks good now it is installed. The installation guide was lacking detail. No template or dimensions were supplied for cut out - I had to get the dimensions from the Smeg website. A few diagrams were supplied on a sheet of A4, mostly showing how to clean it and not drop it on my foot! There were no written instructions. It was unclear from the diagrams which holes the clips went in - why have holes located just behind the tap and overflow holes that can't be used? I used silicone instead of the supplied putty to seal the sink, and made up a tap brace to reduce flexing that occurred with a tall pillar tap. Also, the waste pipe is 39 mm o/d, so I needed to use a compression fitting to join it to UK pipe sizes. In summary, there was some cursing during installation, but we are pleased with the end result

Smeg sink
Good looking sink. Only thing was that the picture shown did not have hole for taps, but when it arrived the sink had single hole for taps. But this was not a problem. So just be aware that the sink will come with the tap hole. Very easy to install.

Nice sink - shame the fixings were useless!
I purchased this sink on-line and it was delivered as promised. Very nice I thought till the plumber advised the fixings were useless! They were for continental sized pipes so he had to go out and buy a kit - costing me a fortune in his time!!!

nothing special
I chose this sink because of Smeg name & reputable & because it was reduced. The quality is no better than a sink half it's price. Would never pay full price for this

Nice sink for my flat!
Comes with all the wastes needed, looks class and seems sturdy enough. Nice and deep which means the water doesn't splash all over the worktop like my previous one.

Lovely Smeg sink
I bought this Smeg stainless steel single bowl sink to go in my newly refurbished kitchen. I've been using it for 3/4 weeks now so I've figured out the good and bad points! It's a lovely looking sink with an unusual square bowl. That was what drew me to the sink in the first place until I found out the price! Luckily when I actually went online to buy a sink this one had been reduced by almost half which made it within my price range. It was a real bargain at the price but now that it's in my kitchen I would probably have paid the full price for it. It's a very deep bowl which holds lots of dishes but can also cause a slight problem if, like me, you have chosen a very high, arched tap! Like most stainless steel sinks the water splashes show up but it's easy to clean without using any kind of abrasive substance. The sink is really good quality and looks fab in my kitchen. I would recommend it to others.

Very poor!
I had much higher expectation from Smeg. The sink is very flimsy I'll have to put something underneath the drainer and the tap to support it. I didn't realise till my kitchen fitter had already installed it. Very disappointed I must say.
