Horrible Solder

AVOID this, you would have better luck with twisting and tape...

SolderMan - 1 / 5 - 20/11/2023

The worst solder..

I thought I would be able to use this but it's really awful. Grainy joints and poor flow, avoid avoid avoid avoid.... Cheapest solder money can buy for a premium price... May work for 2-15mm cables but anything smaller this will be total junk

Dirty

Best way to describe it, dirty! Leaves a film of dirt over solder tip very quickly making it hard to do anything but clean, clean and get frustrated. Like others, I now need to buy some from a different supplier, so waste of money.

Avoid this solder

I bought this solder as I'd run out part way rewiring a bike. I needed some ASAP. Unfortunately I bought this stuff. Takes a lot of heat to get it to flow nicely, in the mean time the insulation on the wires is starting to melt! Not good. I've ordered some better solder online from a different supplier.

Good quality

Bought this a few months ago and I used it to solder electronics. Low melting point

triffski - 1 / 5 - 30/03/2016

Poor quality, avoid.

Seems to have a very high melting temperature, maybe also the fault of the awful B&Q soldering iron bought with it. The iron was melting the plastic parts of plug connectors before the solder was melting.
