Functional
Does the job of splitting logs but the instructions which came with the tool advised against hitting the head to drive home the splitting effect. I don't understand this as every tool I looked at described this as an implicit part of the action. Still at £16 it appears to do

Does the job with no fuss
I felled a tree in our garden and needed a splitting axe to chop up the larger sections of trunk, this axe does the job with no fuss, very little effort is needed, as the weight of the axe does the work for you, it is green coloured unlike the Orange one on the photo, comes with a rubber blade edge cover and a cover for the whole head of the axe. Unbelievable value for £14- my in laws have £100+ handmade Swedish splitting axes that aren't nearly half as effective as this one.
