Illuminates the whole room!

Previously had spotlights in my kitchen and it was very dim at night times and lots of shadows. The room is now completely brightly lit in every corner. May need a dimmer switch! Did have to shorten the wires but any one who's a bit handy can manage that. Bargain price, paid #37 and now its even cheaper!

Looks great

Bought this light when it was half price. The cords were too long but fortunately my husband is good with electrics and he managed to shorten them. It was quite difficult to alter but worth the effort. Lots of positive comments, looks stylish and gives just the right amount of light in our conservatory. Very pleased.

Nice light - shame about confusing info

First one I bought had half the ceiling fittings missing. Second one was complete. Fitter claimed cables were not height adjustable - and reading other reviews this is an issue. Right hassle - ended up using cable ties - but not perfect... Nice light though

Looks Stylish

I purchased this for a customer to provide lighting over the far side of her kitchen, which included above the sink. The light fitting is suspended by the supply wires, which were much longer than required. As another reviewer stated, it is possible to shorten them, however you must be careful to ensure both lengths are exactly the same otherwise the light will not be level. There is plenty of room in the ceiling box for connection. The glass shades can take a little time to fit using a supplied tool for the threaded ferrules which is why I gave for stars. The light output is more than satisfactory with no noticeable shadows. The end result is a well lit area and a modern, sophisticated look which belies the price.The customer and her family was very happy with this light fitting.

Read reviews before you buy

Like the other people who have reviewed this product I to thought it ideal for hanging in the kitchen above a table & I wasn't disappointed it looks great with a good spread of bright light. However, installation wasn't very DIY friendly, the problem being the length of the cables, like other reviewers I am an electrical engineer so wasn't to much of a problem but I would advise getting an electrician to install this for you. The instructions are next to useless Again like the other reviews I was wishing this was fitted with led's but on the face of it I have scored average for the money it's not to bad.

Excellent but....

Thought this light would be ideal for over our breakfast table apart from the fixed height. Couldn't find anything preferable on the market for a similar price so, taking confidence from the previous reviewers, got an electrician to adjust it. I looks fantastic and really lights up a dull area of our kitchen. Wasn't so pleased when one of the light bulbs failed after just 6 weeks though.

Nice looking light

This light looks quite upmarket. I managed too to shorten the flex but it really needs to be made adjustable. The only downside is that 5 times 40watt bulbs = 200 watts. Not very eco friendly in this day and age and I couldn't find any low energy alternatives - otherwise I would have given it 5 stars

Nice product looks nice over dinning room table, only problem is that the hanging cables are too long, on the box it says they are not adjustable but being an electrician this was no issue - would be better if they made it adjustable.
