Absolute rubbish. Do not buy.
This sand is not fit for purpose. Full of stones and needs to be used for other purposes like laying slabs. To sell this as plastering sand is very misleading, and it should be rebranded. With the amount of bad feedback this product has received B&Q must be aware it's no good and choose to ignore the customers feedback.

Worst sand I’ve ever used.
Basically gravel, unbelievable amount of large stones throughout every bag I bought .

This is not plastering sand
Do not buy this thinking its plastering sand as it contains very small stones, I bought this to make render when I tried spreading it tiny stones were dragging through the render makes score marks in the render, I ended up having to sieve the render

Not great
Bought to patch render on the front of our house. However, there were so many small stones in this it was impossible to smooth. It would be better to buy normal builders sand rather than this.

terrible
mkm had closed, I had read the reviews how bad the sand was from b&q, but thought oh well I need to get the job done, its like using sharp sand, really bad, don't waste you money.

Not Fit for purpose
I purchased 5 bags for this for an outdoor rendering job, even though I wanted a rustic look the number of sharp stones in the sand made working with it impossible, no way would this be suitable for plastering or rendering. Dreadful.

Useless
Absolutely useless for rendering. Full of stones that drag across your work leaving gouges. Bought 2 bags and will be returning one and a half.

Stones in sand
Terrible for rendering massive stones. A lot of time had to spent picking out stones from the mix.

Plastering sand? More like plastering ballst
I have no one to blame but myself. I’d read the other reviews complaining about large stones in bags of Tarmac plastering sand, but thought it’d be the odd bit of pea shingle or similar.. oh no, the bits of stone a numerous and up to blooming huge. Thankfully our plasterer is patient and he only had a couple of square metres to do with this plastering ballast, sorry, sand.
