Great Stand

I purchased this from B&Q about 4weeks ago online, after doing a great deal of research. This was at a reduced price so it was even better for the pocket. There are other types about some with wheels and others with only one steady bar when extended, this model has two bars either side to give extra stability and stop twisting when extended. I have a Makita LS1018L compound saw which fits nicely onto the quick release brackets supplied with the stand. I have yet to sort something out as a stop so I can chop multiple length without measuring every one,I will be looking to see if Titan have anything. The weight of the stand is light but steady and folds into a compact unit when not required. The only thing I have had to do,is modify the bolts that fix the saw to the brackets as they were catching when the saw was rotated. As an engineer in my later years I can understand that it is difficult to cater for all manufacturers of saws,so I don't class this as a negative. I am very happy with my purchase, and even happier when the delivery was spot on. They promised next day and it was there, keeping me informed all the way.

Much better than I expected ...

For what it cost me it's brilliant. Heavily built, folds up, all fits together and a really nice design. It fits my Makita saw perfectly - the only modification I made was to replace the 6mm coach bolts they supply for attaching the saw to the clamps with some 8mm ones. Other than that - perfect bit of kit. No reason to pay two or three times the price for more recognisable brands. Well done Titan.

Ignore the online description

I opted for this stand over the evolution 800 for the same price as the evo has asymmetric support arms which seem to twist when any moderate load is placed on them. No such problems here as each arm is double barrelled, nice and strong. The online description stated the length is something daft like 800mm, it isn't, it is just shy of 1200 wide with the extensions in, and around 2000 with them fully out. Same dimensions as some of the much more expensive models. Great value if you use one of the "£10 off a £50 purchase" codes usually floating around online
