The Valspar White Wood Primer & Undercoat, 2.5L, is a high-quality primer perfect for preparing interior and exterior wood surfaces, providing a smooth, even base. This wood primer improves paint adhesion, providing a durable finish. It enhances coverage and seals porous wood, guaranteeing a long-lasting topcoat. Ideal for both new and previously painted wood, this undercoat ensures a professional finish.

- Instructions for Use - Stir contents thoroughly to ensure paint is evenly mixed, apply 1 coat using a suitable brush, roller or professional spray equipment. Apply liberally, working from dry areas into the paints wet edge and finish with gentle verticle strokes, avoid excessive brushing. Extra coats may be required when making dramatic colour changes. Do not thin this product. Dries to the touch in about an hour under normal conditions, allow 2-4 hours between coats.

- Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2Hisothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1) and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist.

Rubbish
Absolute waste of money. Thin as water and has the consistency to match despite half an hour of thorough mixing. Shame on you B&Q!. Supposed to be white, but it is transparent. just does not work at all. Wish I had read the reviews first. I'm off to buy the proper stuff.

Valspar primer
Bought this to prime bare tongue and groove wood. Coverage was not very good as after two coats it was still not primed. Would not buy again. Shame really as their usual mixed paints are good quality.

I brought this tp use as an undercoat for sanded dpown wood. It was easy to use and did the job.

Like weak gassy lager avoid
Bought this instead of Dulux to save a few quid - cost of living crisis and all that. Anyway it’s terrible - the paint equivalent of a weak gassy cheap lager. As thin as water and Co versus is appalling

Terrible product
Too runny, runs off the door frame onto the floor up to an hour after. Too think. Needs taking off the market. Not fit for purpose.
