Great price
Really good value for money and does exactly what it needs. Saves serious money against the big branded ones

Poor quality
Used in hanging baskets with very poor results. Plants not growing seeming to lack nutrients.

avoid!
I bought this for my house plants. The compost was full of larvae of tiny flies which I found out only after using it. I threw away almost full bag of the compost but the flies have managed to infect most of my plants as they spread very quickly. Will never buy again.

poor compost and rocks added to make up weight
Bought 3 bags on offer and used for pots for bulbs late last year and mulching early this year. Poor quality peat free compost - very woody/coir like and poor strucutre. Found a large rock in first bag - thought an error but then found one in each bag so clearly added to make up the weight . Would not buy again.

works OK
I use this for vegetables and flowers with good results. It's a reasonable compost, and I assume there's no peat in it, which is important to me. Moisture retentuon is as expected. There are more small undecomposed sticks in it than I would like. When repotting young plants I have to take these out. Would give it more stars if these were removed or properly rotted.

Poor quality, avoid
I bought over 500 litres of this to fill my new raised beds (along with 250 litres of manure). The 'compost' is mainly fibrous wood chippings and coir with no real soil like substance. It dries out quickly too. Only moisture retention I've seen is in the manure I've dug in to it.. Nothing seems to be growing well in this compost. In fact my beans have died and the peas have hardly sprouted after 6 weeks! Potatoes are growing but I suspect this is because I planted them in rotted manure lined trenches. Avoid and get a proper peat free compost elsewhere.
