Beech slab
If only these were cut in longer sections for a decent sized end table! Apart from that they are great, will either make a small serving board or wall art or pyrography.

Good product wish they were sold in longer lengths
As a woodworker/turner i have use these for loads of projects including wooden boxes, pens, wands for the kids at halloween, spoon carving and making various tools such as a small rebate and router plane. Good close grained durable wood at a good price i just wish B&Q would stock boards of a similar size to the 900mm and 1200mm oak boards so i could start making some nice solid furniture around the house as i prefer the colour and grain pattern in beech.

Didn't expect to see these in store!?
Purchases Last month on a whim for a project. There were a few in stock but alot were damaged I.e. bark broken off and were mixed up so a little more care needed in store I feel. However I am happy with the piece I purchased and look forward to finishing my project with it.

Pictures illustrate oak, not beech
It seems to be a reasonable product. However, the pictures used for illustration are of oak, not beech.totally different wood grain.

Perfect for pyrography
I have been looking for decent quality but reasonably priced suitable wood for pyrography for a while so when I saw the beech and oak boards available here, I jumped at the chance to buy a couple to see what customers thought, and within a week I had commissions for portraits on both the boards I had. It burns beautifally and also smells lovely when being burned! Perfect for pyrography portraits as not only are the portraits or any pyrography work done on them unique, but the boards themselves are unique, I am hoping to by some more very soon for more commissions. I have attached photos of the first 2 commissions I did on the beech boards, my customers were extrmeely pleased with them.

beech board
as a woodturner its hard to get beech of this quality at a reasonable price [wish the oak boards were cheaper] I used about 20 boards in 2017

CNN Wood Carving
I have had several of them, I have carved many House Number Signs, this is good Close grained wood.

Beech Board
I bought this board to cut into small pen turning blanks for which it is a very economical way of obtaining hardwood blanks. Although the board had small splits due to drying out it was not a problem for my use of the board.
