Look the part ... but!!!
Bought four of these to finish off a big bedroom refit - right look, right size. Easy to fit but OMG, the design is fundamentally flawed - the support goes into the hollow interior of the shelf, so it sags, even with no weight on the shelf, let alone the suggested load bearing limit. The solution's quite simple; fill the support with a wooden dowel and the grub-screw tightens up nice and solid; sorted. Solution for B&Q? Get the manufacturer to include a couple of dowels in the pack (cost about 2p) and change the instructions.

Worse than useless
Bought these shelves to do a column in a small space. Great fixing to the wall, then added the shelf. The shelf is hollow, so once placed on the rod it wobbles about, leans forward and doesn’t stay level. Also the screw to fix the shelf to the rod underneath is not far enough along the rod to give it any rigidity. Whoever designed this product didn’t try it out on a wall. it would certainly not hold 25kg weight and items would slide off. Disappointing and going to be returned a.s.a.p.

Probably the Worst
This is possibly the worst product I have ever bought from B and Q. I know this was only £8 but I would expect it to come with fixings (screws and plugs) but it didn't. The screws provided to fix the shelf to the wall bracket were totally the wrong size and slid in and out of the already drilled hole without any grip whatsoever. I also have to say that the finish wasn't that good either. Not a good experience

Neat and clean appearance
I bought these shelves to compliment a larger one which the telly in the bedroom is on. They soften the look perfectly with favourite ornaments displayed. A very clean tidy look. Easy to put up.

Wobbly but fixable
Only one of the screws fitted underneath would tighten, the other just went around and around, the shelf was very wobbly. I had a look inside and found that the chipboard was split. Didn't fancy taking it back as I had already fitted the bracket to the wall. However I managed to stop the shelf from wobbling by inserting some strips of wood into the tubes of the bracket. The screws from underneath then went into this wood in the bracket, and made it much more secure.
