Not fit for purpose

This material is best described as utter rubbish. Every piece in stock was damaged in some way, so to call it furniture board is gross misinformation!
This is also another one of those products adorned with unremovable labels.
Did a great job

Bought this before in store and had it cut to size for 4 shelves beside the chimney breasts. Really happy with them, especially the free cutting service.
Only fit for the skip

I needed two different sized boards quickly and a local competitor did not have the sizes I needed, so I bought online and travelled 8 miles to the store to collect. Big mistake! Both boards were banana shaped, having been stood at an angle on end for possibly weeks. Unfortunately I did not realise how bent until I got them to the job, at which time I also noticed the melamine on one board had bubbled up on one side leaving a rough surface. I was able to keep this side hidden but should have eithre taken both boards back or dumped them. Either way I will not buy melamine board from B & Q again - total rubbish! I suspect this is how B & Q get rid of the stuff they cannot sell.
