Drains to slow
Had this product for four months now it's self cleaning but doesn't drain quick enough flooding the low level tray.got to be better alternatives out there.

Terrible
Claims to be maintenance free and self cleaning - but blocked after 6 months and cannot be cleaned. Avoid at all costs.

Not a good design, unable to clean
I did not buy this product from B&Q it came with the shower tray which I bought elsewhere. I want to give feedback on this 'vortex' waste product. I had my ensuite shower installed last summer. Suddenly today there was a horrendous leak of water through the floor and ceiling. The builder returned and was brilliant in looking into the reasons for the leak. He showed me the vortex waste which he had taken out. He explained that the water had leaked out at the sides even though the builders had done exactly what the instructions had said. The builder also thought that over a few months of a person in the shower cubicle, the tray might have caused the waste to move - although it shouldn't have done. The other point I want to make was that it describes itself as 'self-cleaning'. It isn't. My builder showed me the waste - it was full of black stuff - the usual muck that builds up in drains and waste over time - hair, scum, scale, soap, etc.

Drains far too slowly. Had to replace.
No good for my setup. I don't have althe best downward flow rate to be fair as new shower in ensuite with limited space. However works much better with more basic waste.

Very poor quality and design
Very badly designed product relies on two screws to clamp seal. You are not able to see how they seat and any slight unequal tightening of the two screws results in catastrophic leak and the obvious further damage to ceiling etc. we have now replaced.

Terrible
Bought this worse thing I ever did would not stop leaking had to change it it's got 2 screws that tighten rubber down but distorts it

GOOD BUT COULD BE BETTER
THIS WAS A GOOD BUY THAT FITTED THE SHOWER TRAY THICKNESS I HAD TO FIT AS NONE OF THE OTHERS DID. THIS WOULD BE BETTER IF IT WAS DESIGNED WITH THREE SCREWS NOT TWO; SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER TIGHTERN AS THE SEAL MOVES OFF THE WASTE BODY. SWOLLOWS THE WATER VERY WELL...

Poor product - waste of money
Water would not run away and pooled in a low level shower tray until I drilled holes in the top. It may well be anti blockage but the channel for the water to run away is just not big enough. Does not set well in the shower tray as there are only 2 screw holes at 12 o' clock and 6 o'clock so when you tightened those it made the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock sides weak. Always leaked a bit. Ended up having to buy another product not from B & Q. A Complete waste of money

VERY STYLISH
I struggled to find a shower waste this size. Very helpful staff at the Leeds B & Q shop saved one for me. I'm very pleased with it, it looks good & the water flows away speedily, much better than my old smaller shower waste.
