Did the job.
Bought this 5 lever Yale lock as a replacement for one which had started to give a problem. The original lock must have been there for 20+ years. Took the old lock to B&Q and measured it against the new one. It looked ok so purchased it. Had to do slight adjustment to the door woodwork but glad I managed to find a replacement, otherwise I might have needed to purchase a new door.

Poor Quality
Bought this and fitted it to a new garage back door because it is supposed to be high security. Within 9 months the mortice latch snapped at the screw hole On closer inspection I discovered that the material rate die-cast white metal of the type used for toy cars and guns pre-plastic. This material is brittle, has a low shear strength, and is not suitable for door latches. I never expected such poor quality from Yale.

Excellent replacement lock
Bought this lock to repalce a failing lock of the same size. Whilst the packaging was a complete pain to remove, the lock was easy to fit. I especially liked that the mortise lock is slightly set back from the can lock so the mechanism doesn't strain when locking and unlocking. Highly recommended

Solidly built
This is a really well made lock which has had some thought put into its manufacture like the option to swap the latch around depending on which way your door is hinged. I think for the money it's very good value.

Bought two of these and both were faulty
I bought one of these Yale Sashlocks and six months later it jammed in the locked position. I then bought an identical replacement. Checked it before fitting and, guess what, it's got exactly the same fault. On both of the examples that I purchased, if the key is just ever so slightly out of alignment when you turn it to unlock, the mechanism jams. You then struggle to jiggle the key to unjam it. Not what I would have expected from Yale.

Good quality lock
Fixed the lock to replace an existing old lock. Fitting the lock unit was simple, reversing the latch was very simple by merely unscrewing and reversing. The one slight issue was the poor thin quality of the face plate. The tolerances around the latch and lock is about half a millimetre; fitting the plate to an existing recess was difficult as the plate bent easily causing the lock and latch to jam. Probably not a problem on a new door, but fiddly and time consuming on an existing door. A thicker plate with slightly more tolerance would be an improvement.
