Ergonomic, lockable replacement cockspur window handle for uPVC and aluminium casement windows. Made from tough die-cast zinc, with a durable finish that offers high corrosion resistance, impact strength and protection against abrasion. Originally developed by Trojan, and now under the Yale banner, Sparta is sleek and stylish handle that is trusted by professionals, and will give any window a contemporary look. Commonly found on older uPVC and aluminium windows without an internal locking mechanism, cockspur window handles feature a spur (or nose) that closes onto the window frame, or a wedge mounted to the frame. Each cockspur handle is supplied with the following a Handle (baseplate, lever, and buttoned key-operated lock), Screw Cover Cap, Lock Cover Cap, and Universal Key. Material: Die-cast zinc alloy (baseplate, handle, and key), Plastic parts – Nylon 66, UV stabilised ABS and Acetal (screw and keyway covers). Finish: Copper nickel chrome plate layer (Chrome, and Gold has additional coloured lacquer). Powder-coated (White and Black). Backplate Size (l x w x d): 72mm x 17mm x 9mm or 15.5mm or 21mm. Fixing Centres: 30.5mm and 50.5mm. Overall Projection from Sash: 50mm (9mm), 56mm (15.5mm, 21mm). Overall Width: 36mm. Application: uPVC, aluminium, and some timber windows. Endurance Performance: Tested to BS 6375 Part 2 (Classification EN 12400) Class - 25,000 cycles. Corrosion Resistance: BS EN 1670:Painted finishes Grade 5, plated finishes Grade 4. Guarantee: 12-month surface, 10-year mechanical.
