O rings are a simple doughnut shaped disc that can be used to create a leak-proof seal between two components carrying liquid or gas. Typically, they sit in a groove between two parts that, when joined together, compress the o ring to form the seal. They’re used in a number of plumbing tasks, including ducting and pipework, as well as forming watertight seals around various fittings.
