the instructions state 6mm can be taken of each end but it wasnt it was less and the panel on them needs to be checked better with quality control as the oak veener was peeled off on the panels
These doors look great, but beware of trimming!

Very attractive panelled interior doors with a pleasant oak veneer. I bought two. They certainly live up to the promise in terms of their smart appearance, and B&Q delivered promptly. However, you can't book a specific day on these, even though B&Q makes a big deal of that option on other products. The only way I was able to book the delivery day I wanted was to contact customer service, find out the normal delivery time for the doors (four days), then order them the correct number of days ahead of my desired delivery day. Incidentally, there seemed to be some question as to whether the day of ordering counted as the first day or not.
On delivery, I found that the doors were slightly wider and taller than the apertures, so I had to buy a circular saw and trim off some of the edges. There is a warning not to trim more than 6mm off any edge, and 6mm really isn't very much. If you go further, as I had to on some edges (not B&Q's fault, of course), you get down to the substance of what the doors are made of, which is quite soft chipboard. And this then caused me a problem, since the hinge screws don't "bite" well into the relatively loosely-packed chipboard fibre, so it is difficult to clamp the hinges as tightly to the door as you would like.
So my advice is to be sure these doors will fit the aperture, and don't trim off any more than about 5mm maximum from any edge, otherwise you could give yourself a problem with rigidity of mounting - not to mention revealing the ugly chipboard under the nice oak veneer.
If the doors had fitted my doorways without alteration, and delivery had been easier to customise, I would have rated them more highly. They certainly look good. But they did constrain me in terms of making them work for my requirements. I think they would be very good value for an "as is" fit.

It looks like it did in the shop

I saw this door in B&Q. I ordered it online. The door arrived. It looks just like it did in the shop. Absolutely fine. The door is fine. It's a nice door. The builder / carpenter / whatever hanging it made a song and dance about something, or stuff, or something - but I didn't really understand what he was on about as he had a very strong accent. I basically ignored all the drama (it's a door from B&Q, it can't be that complicated) and low and behold, when I arrived home from work, the door was hung and it looked great. Fine. Like a door.
