I bought these 4 years ago. They’ve basically rusted and fell apart in that time. Not sure what I was expecting, but more than 4 years worth of use to be honest. Spend a little more elsewhere on something of better quality.
Finding this a lot with BQ of late. Quality is getting poorer and poorer. It seems they’re going for price over quality these days.
And I’m writing this as a full time gardener. I’ve had to replace these at a few of my jobs that I fitted them over the past 4/5 years.
They are easy to fit. But to be honest, what’s hard about drilling 2 holes, fitting wall fixings and then putting 2 screws in.
Trust me, avoid and going for something of better quality. Or you’ll be replacing them in 4/5 years time.
These are very good value

These were just what I wanted as they will not rust as they are plastic coated and are of a very good construction.

Good Strong Bracket

I bought this at the beginning of the summer for a mew, larger hanging basket which I had planted up. I was pleased to find that it was a sturdy bracket as a 14 inch basket gets quite heavy when wet. It has stood up well to everything the weather has thrown at it this summer.
Incidentally I used coach screw to fix it as I consider them more robust than countersunk screws and can be tightened easily with a spanner or socket.

I brought two of these two weeks to hang some 14" baskets which sit above a pavement, so I wanted a strong bracket which some heavy duty bolts to hold it onto the wall, the first problem I had were the holes on the bracket were to small for the M6 bolts so I had to drill them bigger (not easy as they are plate steel!) and when I had the first one up I hung the first basket up at which point the weld at the end of the bracket came apart! Thankfully I was still holding the basket! I didn't even bother putting the second one up I took both back to B&Q and got a refund. So while they look strong be aware they are not as strong as you may think I wound be very wary putting a 25kg basket on them.
