The title describes this tape; maybe they forgot to add the adhesive to ones I bought.
Avoid this tape. It is a total waste of money.

This cheap and nasty masking tape leaves part of its adhesive on the surface it sticks to. The layers separate and rip, so that you spend ages trying to peel back the glue. I had to use white spirit to remove the residue from window frames and this process took longer than the painting job. You'll regret buying it. Pay a bit more for better quality somewhere else.
Ruins the surfaces it is used on.

Absolutely shocking... The tape slowly slid off the thing it was supposed to be holding (while the glue dried), so the thing dried in the wrong position. Worse still, it left a sticky residue on the paint which, in my attempts to remove the residue, ruined the paintwork it was stuck to. This inferior product should be removed from the shelves en mass, and burned !!!

I brought this a hour ago to mask up a couple of wooden chairs to enable me to spray paint them. As fast as I could mask up the chair the tape began peeling off ... absolutely useless. I’m no amateur when it comes to painting, so all the surfaces were clean and well prepared. This product should not be marketed as masking tape. I’ll be going on line and getting myself some 3Ms stuff, might be a bit more expensive, but if it does the job, well worth it.
