Features and Benefits

If you get sick of burgers and hotdogs during barbecue season, give our brilliant Maipo pizza oven a try. The multi-functional cooker not only produces delicious stone baked pizza but will smoke and barbecue meat, fish and veg. There’s also a handy shelf at the bottom to store the all-important plates and condiments.

  • There's a handle on the side with two wheels so it can be moved easily and a handy storage shelf at the bottom for plates and condiments
  • Stainless steel doors to retain the heat
  • Temperature gauge to help monitor the ovens temperature
  • Removable ash draw helps with cleaning after cooking
  • Light the charcoal (sold separately) and leave this to burn through for around 20 minutes or until the embers turn grey
  • Move the charcoal (sold separately) to one side of the oven to allow the heat to circulate (known as indirect cooking)
  • Cook your pizza between 350-400 degrees, and continually rotate the pizza
  • Can also be used as a barbecue and is ideal for roasting

I read the other reviews before buying and the ones whom say it's 'no good' are talking absolute rubbish... Love my BBQ's & the outdoor cooking thing and this is simply genius, especially at the price too. A 'Doddle' to assemble, (15mins max) and looks fantastic on the patio when guests are round. Takes a bit of getting used to, controlling heat levels ect, but after couple burns, it's not exactly rocket science??? Pizza's are one thing to cook obviously but highly recommend looking up other recipe's too, joints of meat, steaks, roasting veg, kebabs ect as the list is literally endless for this versatile garden bad boy!!! Love it immensely & should of got one ages ago! Oven itself comes away from trolley base for easy storage so if you look after it, it'll look after you and takes outdoor cooking to new heights... 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30 minute assemble time, with electric screwdriver assembled in 30 mins, with electric screwdriver. family of 5, inc 1 gluten free dough mix. cooked 5 pizzas in a charcoal & wood log mix. excellent pizzas. nice crispy bottom. was very hot over 300 at one stage. recommend oak wood to burn

Put charcoal in as you would to a norm bbq , lit it up and half hour it was ready , my husband cooked two pizzas , burgers , and corn ( not all at the same time ) on our first go - pizzas came out better than oven baked , and the other food was fabulously cooked - goodbye traditional bbq ! This is the way forward , we’re soo glad we got this

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant pizza! I bought this last week, easy to put together. I didn't bother with the legs as it is on a stone plinth. It says it takes charcoal but I don't do instructions so I used logs, and the wood fired pizzas I've made are great! I had a pizza party on the 2nd day of owning it and it didn't disappoint. It got up to temperature quickly with wood and controlling the temperature takes a bit of practice but I'd definitely recommend this. The build quality is good but It'll be interesting to see if it rusts when winter comes along.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Long ,long evenings We used ordinary charcoal for first lighting. It took 3hours and 50 % of a bag of charcoal to reach 300 degrees .Lovely boozy evening waiting. Result was very good. We switched to brickettes for second firing. Not much better. It helped a lot when we added small pieces of wood. They raised the temperature fery qickly but of course there was some smoke. Third firing was with just small thinnish logs.. Lots of smoke to start with but eventually we got nice pizzas. I think you have to persevere with this oven. Dry wood is essential and a good supply of alcohol.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a brilliant pizza oven Purchased in April 2018. Good for hot smoking. Fiddly for barbecuing (enclosed with small doorway). Does not get hot enough to cook pizzas like a stone oven does. Even when heavily loaded with charcoal (don’t use wood!) it can’t really get much above 250 degrees and it can’t hold that heat long. Ordinary kitchen ovens can do 220. The result is a long cooking time, so the pizza can get smoky and ashed. Also, every time you open the door you lose a lot of heat (and you can’t see the pizza cooking, so door is opened a lot). So, not really a “brilliant” pizza oven. 5 attempts at pizza netted 1 “average” pizza, other attempts were finished in the kitchen oven. You need to work hard to get the embers right, and be quite deft when inserting, extracting the pizza... not tried meat yet, but that small doorway will be a pain for any biggish joints..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big disappointment Came with no instructions as to how to use the pizza function- we soaked the stone overnight then heated it gently the next day for a couple of hours in a medium warm oven before we used it - it split straight across first time we used it - it did make a couple of good pizzas first though !
