If you get sick of burgers and hotdogs during barbecue season, give our brilliant Maipo pizza oven a try. The multi-functional cooker not only produces delicious stone baked pizza but will smoke and barbecue meat, fish and veg. There’s also a handy shelf at the bottom to store the all-important plates and condiments.

- Light the charcoal (sold separately) and leave this to burn through for around 20 minutes or until the embers turn grey
- Move the charcoal (sold separately) to one side of the oven to allow the heat to circulate (known as indirect cooking)
- Cook your pizza between 350-400 degrees, and continually rotate the pizza
- Can also be used as a barbecue and is ideal for roasting

Superb buy and money well spent. I read the other reviews before buying and the ones whom say it's 'no good' are talking absolute rubbish... Love my BBQ's & the outdoor cooking thing and this is simply genius, especially at the price too. A 'Doddle' to assemble, (15mins max) and looks fantastic on the patio when guests are round. Takes a bit of getting used to, controlling heat levels ect, but after couple burns, it's not exactly rocket science??? Pizza's are one thing to cook obviously but highly recommend looking up other recipe's too, joints of meat, steaks, roasting veg, kebabs ect as the list is literally endless for this versatile garden bad boy!!! Love it immensely & should of got one ages ago! Oven itself comes away from trolley base for easy storage so if you look after it, it'll look after you and takes outdoor cooking to new heights... 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Easy to assemble but no instructions on usage. First attempt took ages to reach a decent temperature using bbq charcoal. Adding sticks or kindling is the secret to cranking up the heat and creating enough for great pizzas. Need a pizza peel to get them in and out and add semolina to prevent pizza sticking to the peel, allowing the pizza to slide on and off easily.
Never soak the pizza stone as it makes it crack. In fact any wetness on the stone will cause this as my intensive research is revealing, we cracked our stone when pizza collapsed and tomato sauce hit it (base of pizza too thin!!)
We are now looking at getting another pizza stone but they are really quite expensive and seemingly not robust. The temp on this oven will go to 400+ with the correct fuel.
We’ve had some good pizzas but it’s a learning curve and b & q don’t help.....

Came with no instructions as to how to use the pizza function- we soaked the stone overnight then heated it gently the next day for a couple of hours in a medium warm oven before we used it - it split straight across first time we used it - it did make a couple of good pizzas first though !

I bought this last week, easy to put together. I didn't bother with the legs as it is on a stone plinth. It says it takes charcoal but I don't do instructions so I used logs, and the wood fired pizzas I've made are great! I had a pizza party on the 2nd day of owning it and it didn't disappoint. It got up to temperature quickly with wood and controlling the temperature takes a bit of practice but I'd definitely recommend this. The build quality is good but It'll be interesting to see if it rusts when winter comes along.

cooked 5 pizzas in a charcoal & wood log mix. excellent pizzas. nice crispy bottom. was very hot over 300 at one stage. recommend oak wood to burn
