Damaged Boards.
Ordered 28 boards, 3 more than I needed just incase. 17 arrived split. Had taken the day off work to do the job. Had to complain bitterly to customer services for them to replace the damaged boards that day. It was clear that no one at the warehouse was checking the boards before dispatch. In the end I got the job finished that day. Would go to a timber yard in future.

Rotten deck boards, never again
Just received my delivery of decking this lunchtime from B&Q Isle of Wight which had 40 x 4.8m lengths of decking as part of the order. The delivery guy was great and lifted off the pallet of wood off the truck and onto my front garden. Straight away I noticed that one of the board was not good, which I pointed out to the driver and he said no worries just phone them up and they will replace the faulty ones. So I decided do unload it one by one checking each board, so I checked and moved each board in to the back garden where I am building the decking. I was all ready to start work except I couldn't, as there were 16 out of 40 boards with defects ranging from Split timber to rotten wood. The only reason I ordered the 4.8m lengths was to make install easy as the length of the decking area is 4.8m so easy job really! Seriously B&Q you have sent me 40% of my deck board with defects which I am unable to use! After waiting 7 days for replacement boards from my order last week, The first 5 are are either warped or unusable. Do not waste your time or money with these.

Great to work with
This was my first attempt at laying decking but the advice on the internet is excellent. I bought 14 X 3.6 lengths 4 weeks ago. I had to wait 3 weeks for delivery and on the day I was called into work. I telephoned in the morning and arrangements were made with the delivery driver to alter his route to accommodate me, great service. Although I did not select the boards myself when they arrived they were great, a very slight amount of warping in one board but this is natural with this type of board and if you use the correct spacers and clamp this is easy over-come and looks good when down.
