For a solar light it is very bright, but only lasts about an hour even when fully charged....disappointing
Simple but does the job

Bright light but designed to fail

The good. The light is bright and gives out a much stronger light than 'normal' basic solar lights. Close up it is like a security light though the light drops off after a few meters it still casts a glow over trees about 15 meters away. Its been sunny the last few days and it lasts 5/6 hours of an evening.
The bad points are that you only get one light in the box - This may be obvious when shopping online but we bought ours in store and the (quite) large box has photos and diagrams of two lights and one panel on each side and this is what we expected to find inside. Buyer beware.
The light and panel are both a little flimsy and the stakes don't fit in very well at all, but the worst part of the design is that there is a large hole on the top of the light where the cord goes in. This has a loose cap but is not sealed and has a large channel for the cord to go in, you can see light through this when the light is on. So rain is going to run down straight inside the light from day one.
I've never seen this kind of cap fitting for the wire to go in, normally its just sealed in at the back/bottom. I'm not sure why they've done it like this other than it will clearly mean it needs replacing next year!
It's useful that the panel is separate meaning the light doesn't have to be placed directly in the sun however you only get about a meter and a half of wire on it, so you can't really place it very far apart. Would have been really much more useful, and cost very little, to have double the length of cord on it.
So to sum up, a bright light but it isn't very well made, which is a shame.
Having looked at the other reviews I've made sure we've kept the receipt.
Great solar lights

As long as you position the solar receptor in a good position then you get good use from this light. Bought 2 last summer and I am off to buy another soon.
Do Not buy this item

I bought this item 2 weeks ago. It worked for 2 days and has failed since. The seal is poor and allows rain to seep into the light. If I could find the recipet it would go straight back.
