Great alternative to making your own raised bed!

Purchased two of these today to fit into a gap in our garden. Very easy to assemble, comes with screws and liner. It does show to staple the liner into the planter however I used small nails (no stapler to hand) and it’s done the job! Plants to go in tomorrow, so far very impressed
Beautiful planter

I bought this in store, it is very sturdy but is quite hard work to assemble. That said it looks fantastic and I have already had compliments on it. You do need a staple gun or something similar to attach a black liner to the wood.
Great rustic trough for plants

For a simple timber wood trough, we thought it was great for our flowers. Has a rustic style to it so we decided to coat it with our fence paint for a brighter look.
As stated with another review, you need to have 3mm drill bit to make your own holes. However I was able to do that with a simple electric screwdriver and drill bit. In fact I think it made the job easier than trying to line up holes. It was easy to put together overall. Yet again, an electric screwdriver makes life much easier.
Another plus is that it does come with the lining. You will need staples or something similiar to keep the lining in place though. We hammered in galvanised staples and drawing pins as a on hand solution.
Poor value, warped and time consuming
ChrisPK - 1 year ago
I bought ghis rather than make a planter so that I could save time. However with hindsight, I wish I'd just bought the wood and done it myself!
The panels were warped and you have to drill and cointer sink the screw holes yourself. If I hadn't had large woodworking clamps to force the panels straight, I would not have been able to put it together square. Then the final irritation is that the plastuc liner that you have to staple in.... Oh yeah, you need a stapler which isn't apparent from the label... Isn't actually big enough to cover the inside dimensions.
I honestly think that I could have made it from scratch in a similar time frame at a third of the price.
