How does the 2 point dust extraction work on the GCMSJL Mitre Saw

Extraction (1) is fixed and collects dust and collects chips as blade slides to the rear during cutting.

Extraction (2) moves with the blade and collects chips during slide cuts.

To optimize dust collection both points work together for best c
