This is the 2nd socket to go faulty in six years!!! it seems the extra 3000w load of a electric kettles are not suitable? In both cases the on/off switch locks up and the internal contact pins burn out.
Do not buy these

I am just in the process of replacing five of these sockets, all of them have issues relating to not being able to insert a plug all the way in. Spoken to the electrician who advises that the flat plate design means there's less room for all the wires in behind, which causes this issue. Very much style over substance. I'll be reverting to 5 x normal white sockets!
Looks good, cheap and easy to use

Looks good. Used on a room with a green wall. Replaced a MK socket for this one. Good how the cover clips which cover up the screws are metal and also has colour coded terminals to match the wires up with. Even has 2 Earth terminals. It can however be a little fiddly to wire up and required some cable to be trimmed down. There is also angled hole to help guide the plug into the socket to help avoid scratches.
Nice socket but...

Nice looking socket that had easy to understand instructions. However, the screws supplied were a little short, meaning I had to use the old ones. This led to problems as the old screws were domed and would push against the steel plate, stopping it from attaching properly. I managed to file the domes down, but all this could have been avoided if screws of a decent length had been supplied.
Superb but beware of the short 3.5mm screws!

Fabulous looking, great design and very well made ... but .....
1. The faceplates of the socket / switch are very compact so replacing a larger socket / switch will leave you with the impression on the wall from the original item, be prepared to have to make good and potentially repaint.
2. The screws supplied are too short! You will need to buy longer 3.5mm countersunk screws if you want to mount the faceplates! The light switch's screws were only 15mm long and the screws for the sockets were only 25mm long!!
Come on 'Colours' how are you supposed to mount these faceplates when all sockets, oven points and light switches are going to be sunk in to a wall at depths greater than you have allowed for?! :o/
However, once fitted the faceplates look superb!
