Maybe the walls are not straight or they are so badly cut that they do not always fit together.
In fact, they never come together well.

Good idea but doesn't always work

Buying pre cut corners, especially external ones, seems a great idea but the pattern didn't always match the straight piece. This was very annoying when trying to disguise the fact there's a join.
I don't think it's unreasonable to think the two pieces would match perfectly - the reality is that they don't.
Quite expensive too
