Creaks like mad
Smith76 - 1 year ago
Whilst this floor looks great down. I believe there is a manufacturing defect with this board.
I have laid 75m2.
The sub floor was latexed flat to a 1mm tolerance. Yet despite this it creaks when walked on. Very fustrating and disappointing.
Warped

Bought seven boxes of this product. Opened two of the boxes and, out of a total of 14 pieces, eleven were so warped they could not be used. Decided to take the whole lot back and get a refund. As we were then looking at what to replace it with the seven boxes I had returned (with at least eleven unusable pieces) were being put back on display for some other poor punter to buy. I mentioned this to the man stacking the shelves and he simply said "somebody will buy 'em". It became clear that he was simply following company poilicy. I also noted that between the short joints of this product there is a plastic strip which has to be inserted between adjacent lengths in order to lock them together.
I have previously bought Quick Step, real Wood Top Layer from B&Q and it was a fantastic product to use. Unfortunately it seems they don't do it anymore.
Floor 2 years old

Laid this floor in our kitchen. Although it looked great initially, 2 years on and it's looking very worn, scratched and dented. Its not suitable for high traffic areas and I wish we had spent more money on a better quality floor.
Beautiful product

My husband and I bought this a week ago and let it sit before fitting it today. It went down like a dream, cut nicely and looks brilliant. All boards perfect, no broken/chipped boards and everything lined up perfect. Smells great too!

I am no stranger to laying hardwood or laminate or engineered flooring but I have never layed this kind of click in business before. The instructions are not very clear and the click in system is not of a great idea when your laying it down in hallways where there are multiple doors to be cutting round because unlike solid where you can tap the tongue in to the groove or like laminate that you have a bit of flex in it so you can manipulate it into tight spots these methods can not be done with this engineered floor. The edges of the boards protrude the other board which then can give a slight lip which means that when any wife or man is hoovering can catch it and chip the edges of the floor. As far as I am concerned this is yet another rubbish product by colours along with there gloss and another laminate Floor I have fitted of theirs. Please note I don't buy these products it's what a customer asks me to fit or paint if I knew they where buying them I would tel them to buy the decent stuff quickstep\dulux.
