Bought this to use on my attic windows. Got half of them done with Santex undercoat / primer, it ran out. Store didn't have any more so thought I'd just get the B&Q version. Didn't read the reviews as I was already in the store. Wish I had. Top coat of Ronseal 10 year paint is fine on the windows I did with the Santex, the ones using B&Q primer / undercoat is already cracking and flaking off after a week! I sanded the frames right down to the bare wood, applied two coats exactly as per instructions, even made sure it was well warm enough. Put a lot of time and care as being attic windows, 3 floors up, didn't fancy having to do them again soon. Don't know if the paint will survive the winter, concerned about damage to actual windows and frames now.

Perhaps the worst paint I have ever used. It is like applying water. Shaking/stirring the paint made no difference to its consistency. Do not bother with it; you will only end up taking it back like I did for a full refund.

Does not do what it says on the tin

I bought this because B and Q were no longer selling Ronseal primer and undercoat. It was cheap but clearly indicates that you get what you pay for. This product covers poorly and you certainly need At least two coats but annoyingly, it also leaves a rough surface, which is not what I wanted in an undercoat. I am very disappointed and will not buy a "Colours" paint again"

I bought this paint because the excellent Ronseal primer and undercoat has been discontinued. I thought that buying a cheaper undercoat would make little difference - but I was wrong. Coverage of this paint is very poor compared to the Ronseal, with the result that you end up using considerably more paint. Also this paint dries to finish similar to that of fine sandpaper, which means that applying the topcoat was difficult and gave a poor finish v's the Ronseal undercoat (which dries to a much less coarse finish).

So my conclusion is that its pointless buying cheap low quality products such as this Colours product, it costs you more money in the long-run as well as more time painting.
