beautiful but expenses

amazing for many types of wood as it gives value to the wood grain. I did a restoration of an old unit of indian rosewood , Sheeshaam style, and it's so beautiful. but it's expensive,as it takes at least 3 or 4 coats to give a colour that will stay over time without getting lighter. and apparently the price has been recently added of other £2.

Excellent finish, lovely colour

I bought this in March 2022 for use on a mixed reclaimed hardwood interior DIY project and am delighted with the results. 3 coats (as directed on bare sanded wood) gave a lovely golden-red-brown finish, not too strong/dark. It is thinner than traditional danish oils (which can be a bit gloopy), goes on more like a stain I would say, so I used a paintbrush. Normally with danish oil you need to wipe the surface 30 mins after application to remove sticky residue, but this was not indicated in the instructions. I gave a light wipe after each coat, just in case and then buffed with a soft cloth after the 3rd coat, leaving a lovely light-gloss finish. Smell is quite strong during application, so if possible, for interior use, I would apply it outside/in garage/shed and leave it to dry for 1-2 days before bringing into the house. Instructions recommend 6 hours between coats, but I left it 24 hours each time, to ensure I avoided any stickiness. Lovely stuff, looks great.

Lovely natural colour

Bought this a couple of weeks ago to put a coat or two on my garden love seat and it looks so muck better now

Easy to use, economical, good finish

Much better than painting or varnishing, it gives a robust and resilient finish to any decent piece of timber furniture, worktop, door, etc. It also goes a long way if you use it sensibly. My only regret is the limited range of colour effects (e.g. no medium or dark oak at my local B&Q).

danish oil

I bought this product for a new balustrade on my chalet in the french alps, which iI spent a lot of money on a previous balustrade which had lasted for 4 years. It was easy to apply and looks really good . the rain and snow falls off the wood so I intend to give 2 applications a year and see what happens, but this product is far superior to more expensive varnishes that dries out in extreme weather conditions.

Excellent

Sanded completely an old set of drawers and added three coats of Danish Oil - it went on evenly (which doesn't always happen with wood dye) without blotches and gave a nice satin finish.

very poor

tThis product is no good whatsoever. A complete waste of money. It seems it is water based which is absolutely useless. Does not give proper coverage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Will not buy again.
