I have had this seat now for about 6wks, and up to now I’m really pleased with it. I was a bit dubious about purchase after reading previous reviews, but I found it simple to fix and looks great.
Fittings not standard

The fittings that come with the seat are not standard so do not buy unless you are sure it will fit. The hinge fittings would not fit my existing loo as the holes were too small. So around trip of 40 mile to return.

I bought this a little over 12 months ago and at first it was great, soft close is a nice feature which also helped the seat stay up on a small basin as it being fairly slim too helped. Fitment was easy at first although I had to take a second one back to the shop as the screws would not go through the basin. After a few months it started moving getting to the stage recently it needed fixing or replacing. Unfortunately I could not release the nuts underneath to allow me to move and tighten up in the correct position. As I could find no spares listed I have obtained another type elsewhere and hope this does the job with the same excellent quick release. Very disappointed when I thought I had solved a similar problem with the previous more basic seat. Another make with the smaller bolts I had to get for my second loo has stayed in the same position so it can be done.
Toilet Seat great Hinges rubbish

Had this for less than a year. Had to sand down the plastic screw plugs so they would fit in the toilet holes. The rubber round the hinge wore away quickly then the seat kept moving to the side. Can't tighten it. Waste of £29. Had much cheaper seats which lasted for years but I opted for a soft close one hence the more expensive option. So I have bought a cheaper replacement with a more sturdy metal hinge. No sanding needed. Don't buy this model.

I have just bought this toilet seat as mine broke this morning, I wish I'd have read the reviews first. The plastic bits that are supposed to fit through the holes are too big I'm a single woman with no help to hand. I am so cross and toilet seatless!!!
