You know whats worse than painting your fence once... Painting it 4 times!
This might be great for painting new wood, but if you are trying to cover old Ronseal paint, just don't do it to yourself. It's horrendous.
It doesn't seem to stick and you have to do 4 coats. I thought 3 was fine until it rained and seemed to wash off some of the paint 4 days after it dried...
I am not confident it will last long on the fence either. Nice colour though.

I have used this on my ranch style fencing for years, where the rain splashes up from the path seems to wear the paint off at ground level. But a quick sanding and repaint does the trick. I’m not sure about a “ complete “ 5 year life before painting again. But it satisfies me, so will give it 5 stars.
Better than anything else that I've used

I painted my shed in 2010 with is, it still looks good in 2020 so I've used this to paint some fence panels - they also look great although it is only 6months later. You do need to do two coats but this is the case with painting anything on rough fence panels. When it rains you can see the water beading off the paint so it really does give a visible look of something very waterproof. I guess that's something to do with the impregnated wax in the paint mix. Anyway I would certainly buy this again. I've used cheaper stuff in the past which seems to last about 2 years before it starts to flake so this Ducksback is worth paying a bit more for.
